What is the best way to cope with knowing that your boyfriend is about to brake up with you?

I don't know for sure if he is going to brake up with me. But he never wants to spend any time with me and he never answer his phone or returns my calls when ever I call him. I just get the feeling that he doesn't want anything to do with me. He gave me a promise ring at christmas time and told me that I would know when he was going to brake up with me because he would just ask for the ring back. I don't know if he loves me any more or if he just wants to get the heck away from me. One of my friends told me that the message that he is trying to send me from his actions is that he wants to brake up with me. I don't know how I am going to handle the day that he brakes up with me. I don't want him to brake my heart. I have loved him more than any other guy that I have ever dated in my life. We have been together for almost 16 months and i don't want our relationship to end here. If we do brake up I will be sure to tell him that it's his fault for our brake up and I will have nothing to do with his decision to brake up with me. As you can tell I love him more than anything I the world and I would hate to see him brake up with me. Wow. Ok, well first - he sounds like a jerk if he gave you a promise ring while saying ';when I break up with you....'; Now, I get that you love him - but maybe he just needs some space. Don't call him, text him, etc... etc.. for a couple of days (you won't die, I promise!) Give him time to miss you. But if he is determined to break up with you - then you'll just have to deal with it. We've all been there, and chances are you will find someone better for you in the future anyway. Good Luck!
